As you can probably see, C.o.t.E as of now is not exactly active-- a situation I mean to fix! Any guests, please go first to Rules and then to Information (read all threads in order for clarity) and at least give our Centaur world a chance! Anybody who has questions, feel free to post a question in the cbox and I'll answer it asap. Just work with me here, people! :D

Name:Stratos Age: 16 Gender: Female Breed: “Buttermilk” Buckskin ½ Quarterhorse, ½ Morgan Appearance:The most striking thing about Stratos is the contrast between her light skin and dark hair, light coat and dark markings. It presents an interesting yin-yang appearance which makes Stratos stand out in a crowd. The only thing that defies this balanced look are her light, clear blue eyes, which are the reason she was named Stratos- the color of sky and clouds.
Sratos’ facial features are both distinct and blended, another indicator of the delicate balance displayed as her own form of beauty. While she has smooth, flowing skin with rounded cheekbones, a curved but square jaw and chin, and a nose lacking sharp angles, she also possesses striking eyes with dark lashes, hard slashes for eyebrows, and very outlined lips.
Being one of the Chosen gives her a well-toned body, complete with the hard muscles and flowing curves of any athlete. Across her chest Stratos wears a v-neck, thick-strapped, dark grey sports bra which is simple, modest, and easy to move in. Her hair flows in wispy dark layers down to her solar plexes, a stylish, carefree look which complements her facial structure.
Stratos horse component is a light buttermilk color with the dark Siamese-like markings of a buckskin. The muscles of her chest, hindquarters, and legs are round and bulging, evidence of her breed and of her good physical condition. She keeps her tail like she does her hair, in a long, wispy, and slightly wild looking fashion. Despite the overall subdued golden tone of her coat, Stratos has an odd birthmark in the shape of a distorted square on the right side of her stomach which is distinctly lighter than the rest of her body.
Personality:Stratos is a hard person to understand; she is quiet, deep, and thoughtful with an alienated and exotic edge but at the same time has a passionate temper which, when roused, is hard to stop and control. She tends to remain quiet during a discussion, only speaking to bring up a quick, intelligent thought. There is an inner strength in her that is often suggested in her thoughtful silence.
Being a Chosen had an odd affect on Stratos, it hardened her and made her much more contemplative. But as much as she loves her people and wishes for peace, part of her is completely in love with battle. The thrill of depending on nothing but her muscles and her mind gives her a satisfaction that can only compete with the satisfaction she gets from victory.
One of the hardest things Stratos deals with as a Chosen is the fact that the others can read her mind- it drives her insane to have her personal privacy violated. She tries to hide her thoughts, especially in battle, but finds it frustrating and nearly impossible. Especially because, when they return to Thoe, she is usually in a somber mood which contradicts the other Chosens. In truth, she’d rather be out on a mission.
Background:No one in Stratos’ family lineage was Chosen, no one she knew was Chosen. Her father and mother, Beartes and Rhanya, were one of the very few centaurs who chose to live in Outer Thoe. As a foal, Stratos did not grow up in the Nursery as every other centaur she’s met did, but near the Vnei River alone with her thoughts. As Stratos grew, Rhanya began begging Beartes to let her visit Central Thoe more often, so she wasn’t so lonely and silent.
Beartes agreed eventually, and they moved towards Central Thoe to live with the majority of centaurs. It was Stratos’ first time being around so many others her age for such a long period of time, and at first she was antisocial. She felt as if she could never be alone, trapped in the noise that was centaur paradise. Stratos had no idea how very right she was about to become.
Stratos’ Ability is not very strong, she can only hear people and Chosen within at best a 4 mile radius. Still, when it awoke in her with the legendary headaches, and then the thought-Hearing, Stratos was terrified. She told no one, and began seeking out the Vnei River for comfort and because it was far enough away from Central Thoe for her to think. But the Chosen heard another of theirs awaken, so her flight didn’t last long.
At first, Stratos hated being associated with the Chosen, and she sought the Vnei River as often as she could escape training. But her first mission to London, England, Europe changed all that. From then on Stratos trained physically hard, though her Hearing excercises lacked that vigor. In her mind, Stratos referred to her first mission as My First Taste of Freedom, because it was her first battle. She struggles to hide her lust for fighting from the other Chosens everyday, as well as attempts to stay separate from them despite their link. But how long can that last?
Other: During the time Stratos hid out near the Vnei River, she made a friend. She calls him Rahjes and he is a full-grown leopard. When not training or on a Mission, Stratos seeks out Rahjes’ company and he accompanies her wherever they go. It is a silent mutual agreement, and the sight of Stratos with Rahjes prowling at her side has become commonplace.
When the two are alone, Stratos’ affection for him is clear: she talks to him, pets him, and rough-houses with him. Some would argue that her lack of relationship with centaurs is balanced by her love for Rahjes. Below is her silent companion: Codeword:Once again, I wrote the rules.
